Ready for a

Happy New Year!

We're looking forward to kicking off an exciting year of ministry opportunities with you! Wednesday evening programming for ALL AGES resumes on January 13 at 6:30pm here on campus! Here are the options:

MOMtourage – Led by Jackie Elliott, Ashley Kelley & Tiffany Myers – Room 208
Life is better lived in community and we want YOU to be a part of our MOMtourage! We meet weekly to connect, form relationships and study God's word. Join other moms with kids still at home for a wonderful new study from Jennie Allen titled, Get Out of Your Head.

Fight Club – Led by Bill Enslen & Bruce Zylstra – Room 209
Fight Club is a group for men raising their families, working hard in their careers and striving to live a life that honors God. We're kicking things off with the series Fight by Craig Groeschel and this discussion group will focus on the challenges of being a Biblical man in our current culture.

Hope In The Word – Led by Beth Hoving – Located in the Sanctuary
This group is currently engaging in a study titled "Seeing Further", helping us to look past our world and problems to seeing God and how HE is working in our individual lives and the world. Using the Bible as our guide, we'll look at the Old and New Testament as we seek to better understand God's plan and presence.

Connections Class (BEGINS FEB. 3)– Led by Michelle Myers – Room 206
This class is for those desiring membership at New Hope or those just interested in getting to know our church better. More details to come!

Common Ground for 6th-12th grade (6:30-8pm), Xtreme Team for K-5th grade and our early childhood programs for infants-PreK are also meeting each Wednesday night.

The committee tasked with leading the search for New Hope's next Senior Pastor will provide updates throughout the coming months in the weekly Enews. Below you'll find the initial update for 2021.

The Search Committee held an organizational meeting on December 8, 2020 and elected Ken Walker to serve as Chairmam, Bill Enslen as Vice-Chairman and Gayle Bundschu as Secretary.  We distributed copies of the manual for the Process of Pastoral Search And Call.  The liaison of the Ministerial Committee of the Presbytery has been contacted and informed that we have started the process for a search.
The Search Committee will meet again on January 12, 2021 to review the Job Description for the Senior Pastor, the Church Information Form and the Professional Information Form for applicants.  A date will be set for posting the search with the Presbytery.
We are requesting that the congregation continue to pray for the committee as we seek God's will, wisdom and guidance while we pursue the process of developing a recommendation to bring to the congregation.

Verity is a life affirming, faith based, non-profit organization and a mission partner of ours here at New Hope. They believe in and support the sanctity of life.  Their mission is to help women who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy by offering counseling, medical referrals and family support.

Currently, they are desperately in need of baby clothes sized newborn to 3 months.  You can drop off donations to the container in the sanctuary lobby throughout the month of January.

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship as well as checking out the videos from our staff and pastors on the Experience New Hope channel. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or have a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Mike at mike@newhopefortmyers.org or 813.368.1680. Don’t forget to check out our safety measures and plans for gathering again on campus, along with the service time details by clicking the SITUATION UPDATE button above!
