New Hope News - March 4, 2022

Happy Friday, New Hope Family!

Our Women's Ministry "Women of New Hope" is starting a new season of Bible Studies this Wednesday, March 9! Ladies, you can choose from a variety of Bible studies based on the depth of study you prefer. Drop in between 9:30-10am in Room 212 at New Hope for casual coffee, conversation, or to see a prayer partner. At 9:45am we will gather for devotions, announcements, and music. Classes begin at 10am and are held at New Hope in the education building. Childcare will be provided for infants through Pre-K. Click here to see more info about each study and register for the one of your choice!

Recognizing that Covid is under control in our area, Session voted on February 22, 2022, to lift all Covid restrictions involving our church and ministry at New Hope. This Sunday, March 6, we'll begin passing the Friendship Pads, offering plates, and baskets with the self contained communion elements. The communion elements will be the pre-packaged variety we've used since the Summer of 2020.

Join us for an organ concert featuring guest organist John Renfroe on Sunday, March 20 at 3pm. John is the director of music and organist at Messiah Lutheran Church in Cape Coral and also serves as the Dean of the SW Florida Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He graduated from Stetson University with a degree in organ performance as a church music major with a minor in music theory and composition. The concert will feature several masterworks of organ literature played on New Hope's pipe and digital combination Allen Organ. It is free and open to the public.

Ladies! Join this small group from the comfort of your home as we study God's Word on Spiritual Warfare on Tuesdays, March 8–April 12, from 7:30-8:30pm. The group will meet online via Zoom and details will be given after registration. Contact Signe Pagel at 239.839.8876 or signepagel@gmail.com with any questions. Click here for more information and to register.

How to participate in communion if you

are part of the online New Hope family.

1. Purchase grape juice or wine.
2. Purchase bread or baked crackers.
- Unleavened bread is the best expression of the "bread" element. Unleavened bread simply is bread baked without a rising agent (most large grocery stores stock unleavened bread), but you can select any bread of your choice.
3. Be ready at home with your elements.
- One of our Pastors will direct you along with those who are gathered at the church through properly receiving communion. All you need to do is follow along online individually, as a family, or with your group.

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship on campus at 9:30am for traditional worship and 11am for contemporary worship or click here to watch online. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or have a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Mike at 813.368.1680.

With Love,
Your New Hope Team
