Lee Health’s Blood Drive will be at New Hope this Sunday, May 21 from 8am-1pm. All donations stay right here in Lee County to help people in our community. Donors should pre-register on our website through the link below. Thank you for giving the gift of life!
The first Thursday of every month, we collect peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for homeless in Lee County. Our next one will be on Thursday, June 1. You can drop off your pre-made, individually wrapped PB&Js that day by noon and we will take them to We Care - a local ministry that supports the homeless.
“Whoever welcomes one of these little children
in My name welcomes Me.” – Jesus (Mark 6:37)
June 12-16 from 9am–Noon
We still are in need of:
• 10 adult guides
• 5 adult and 3 teen craft helpers
• 1 adult and 2 teen snack helpers
• 1 adult games helper
Please pray for VBS! We have an urgent need for 10 group guides. Click here to get a prayer calendar or pick one up at the church so you can pray through this month for this important outreach where Bible teachers will be sharing the Gospel (this can be done from anywhere!).
For those unable to serve on site, would you want to provide food items for our amazing volunteers’ break room? If so, please click here to sign up to bring something delicious!
We are also in need of craft items you may have around your home including shoe or boot box tops, colored straws, and old jigsaw puzzles. Please drop them off at the World Changers desk by this Sunday, May 21. Thank you!

Tanya is a “one-of-a-kind” individual who has a passion to help people in need. More than 25 years ago, she sensed God’s call to do something concrete to help needy people here in Lee County. Addiction, homelessness, and abuse were rampant and she was determined to address these needs. Even though this is a messy business, she has committed herself to help. She developed a series of recovery programs, several houses for homeless people (men and women), a program of providing meals on a regular basis, and a listening ear to any adults in need.
Tanya’s focus is to bring people into a relationship with Jesus because she recognizes that it is only through the power of Christ that people can be delivered from the power of sin. She hosts a weekly Bible study for any who will come.
New Hope has come alongside Tanya by providing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches once a month. Additionally, we work to provide a meal at least once a week for about 80-100 homeless people. If you would be willing to help with one of those meals, please contact Jim Mayer at jim@newhopefortmyers.org.
