New Hope News - May 27, 2022

Our hearts have been broken by the recent rampages in New York and Texas. For those in New York, apparently targeted simply because of the color of their skin, it is especially heinous. For those in Texas, as a parent, I cannot imagine the loss, pain, heartache, and hopelessness those families must be feeling. Any violent death is horrendous, but for those so young to die so senselessly is beyond description. Our hearts and prayers go out to each of these families as they try to process the horrible effects of sin as we live in this fallen world.

Please remember in your prayers the pastors, churches, and Christ followers in Buffalo and Uvalde. Specifically, please join me in praying that they would bring the "...peace of God, which transcends all understanding…” and that it would “…guard [their] hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."  (Phil. 4:7)

Please be praying for Pastor Ben & Kathy Borsay as they travel
to Cameroon to serve and visit his family during the month of June.

Our offices will be closed
on Monday, May 30 for Memorial Day
as we remember and honor those who
gave their lives in service for our country.

Our next PB&J day will be Thursday, June 2!  Please drop off your pre-made, individually wrapped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at the church by noon that day and we will make sure they get to our local ministry partner We Care! Let's continue to love and serve those who are in need of food here in Lee County!

Our Student Ministry's "Fun on the Run" Summer Calendar is now available! Click here to see all of the fun we have planned for rising 6th-12th graders throughout the summer!

After receiving encouragement, training, and vision at VBS Orientation, our amazing volunteers are ready to love and serve the children who will be attending our VBS from June 6-10!

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship on campus at 9:30am for traditional worship and 11am for contemporary worship or click here to watch online. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or have a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Mike at 813.368.1680.

With Love,
Your New Hope Team
