Happy Friday, Church Family!

It's been wonderful to have our campus bustling with people of all ages as daytime and evening programming returned over the last ten days! Hearing all the laughter, seeing all the smiles, and the fact that we're able to gather in person is something all of us appreciate now more than ever. What a blessing!

This Sunday, September 19, our new part time Transitional Pastor, Ben Borsay, will be bringing us the message at both services and you can read a bit more about him below.

There are many exciting opportunities happening over the next several weeks and months so be sure to scroll all the way through the Enews each week to not miss a thing!

New Hope is excited to host the Going Beyond Simulcast with Priscilla Shirer on Saturday, September 25 from 10am-5pm. This dynamic event features Biblical teaching, inspiring worship, and an opportunity for you to fellowship with other women from New Hope as well as all around SWFL. All women are urged to attend and invite a guest. Registration is only $20 and includes the simulcast event, an afternoon snack, and giveaways. Lunch is not included but you are welcome to bring one along or leave campus during the lunch break. Click here for more information and registration!

It's that time again!

The Lee Health Blood Mobile will be at New Hope on Sunday, September 19, from 8am until 1pm. With continuing COVID concerns, we are still asking that you pre-register by clicking here for your time slot.  Please note that you will need to wear a face mask and the location of the BloodMobile will be in the west (Plantation Rd side) parking lot of the church.  Pre-registration is required in order to keep people from bunching up around the registration area. Thank you for continuing to share the gift of life with our community, what a wonderful way to continue living out the gospel together!

We have a congregational meeting on Sunday, September 26 at 10:45am. The purpose of this meeting is to seat a nominating committee for Deacons, Elders, and Trustee for the Class of 2024 (this group of Deacons, Elders, and a Trustee will serve from 1/1/22-12/31/24).

The committee has four members: David Carpenter (Chair), Candy Engelman, Bill Enslen, and Mike Scales. There can be three additional members filled by nominations from the floor during the meeting on 9/26. In order to nominate someone for the nominating committee, please make sure you speak to that individual IN ADVANCE of presenting their name to the floor.

This meeting is to seat a nominating committee for the offices of Deacon, Elder, and Trustee, not to elect the Deacons, Elders, and Trustee themselves.

Our monthly evening prayer gathering is taking place on Thursday, September 23 from 7-8pm in room 207. Come out and join in this opportunity for corporate prayer as we seek the Lord for His will concerning our church and our lives and lift up prayer requests from within and beyond our congregation.

With the amount of events occurring around the world right now, many of you have inquired about a way to financially support those in need and affected by these events. If you feel led to contribute to these relief causes, you may do so through our church and we'll forward to our denominational fund that is providing relief efforts around the globe. You can click here to give and designate your contribution.

The 40 Days for Life event will be held from September 22 thru October 31, 2021, and we'd love to have you participate! This is a great opportunity to join with others who want to preserve the lives of those little ones from the horror of abortion.

God has blessed this effort over the years during 26 coordinated campaigns. 19,198 babies have been saved from abortion, 221 abortion workers have been converted, and 112 abortion centers have closed their doors.

Join with others from New Hope on the six Wednesdays of this campaign from 2-4pm or any part thereof to silently pray for God to work in the hearts of those who are thinking about aborting their babies.  Your presence could be the difference maker.

Ben & Kathy Borsay will be here with us at both services this Sunday, September 19. Ben has been hired by Session as our part time Transitional Pastor and we are excited to welcome him to New Hope. The Borsays are visiting this weekend and Ben will officially begin working as part of our team on Sunday, October 31.

Ben describes himself as an avid reader, sorta gardener, and enjoys biking, walking, and spending time with his bride of 44 years, Kathy.
Ben & Kathy like visiting the beach, traveling, and time with their nine grandchildren and three adult children and spouses.

Be sure to extend a warm New Hope welcome to the Borsays if you see them on Sunday!

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship on campus at 9:30am and 11am or online, as well as checking out the videos from our staff and pastors on the Experience New Hope channel. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or have a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Mike at mike@newhopefortmyers.org or 813.368.1680.

With Love,
Your New Hope Team
