A reminder that

GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES!

Hey Church Family!

It's been a rainy week but we've also had the opportunity to see several rainbows which almost makes it worth it! Scripture tells us that rainbows are a symbol of the covenant God made with all living creatures on earth that "never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life." (Genesis 9:13) Rainbows are a reminder of God's steadfastness and that He always keeps His promises. So next time you're caught in a downpour, remember that it won't last forever and a rainbow is on it's way!

We have a special update about our global mission partners as part of our services this weekend so be sure to join us here on campus or online at 9am for traditional worship or 11am for contemporary.

On Sunday, September 27, we'll have a congregational meeting at 10am (immediately following the 9am worship service) to establish the nominating committee for our upcoming deacon and elders selection. If you are a member of New Hope and are uncomfortable with being in the building, we'll provide a Zoom link for you to view the meeting. The Zoom meeting link will be in the 9/25 edition of the Enews. If you have someone to suggest for the nominating committee, please contact Art Hunkins, Clerk of Session, at artbonnet1@gmail.com.

The Well, our weekly Bible study for women of all ages, will begin meeting on campus this Wednesday, September 23 from 10am-noon. There is a limited number of spots available and you can register by clicking here to reserve your book and let us know you'll be attending. Many of our Circles of Fellowship are returning to in person meetings over the coming weeks. Visit the Women's Ministry page for all the specifics and a preview of the on campus groups.

Because we're unable to pass the Friendship Pads in person and many people are still joining us online, we've begun to use a virtual Friendship Pad each week for attendance purposes. Whether you're here on campus or watching from home, we'd love for you to sign in with us each week. You'll also have an opportunity to share any prayer concerns on this form and it will help us in returning another element of our personal contact work which is a key component here at New Hope. To sign in each week, visit our website and select the CONTACT/LOG IN tab on the upper right hand of your screen, select Friendship Pad from the drop down menu and complete the form. You may also click here to directly access the virtual Friendship Pad or select the green button below! Thanks for adapting with us and trying new things as we seek to minister effectively.

It's always amazing to see God's people and what they can accomplish together! We were able to provide a huge number of PB&J sandwiches this week and have given literally thousands since March of this year. Our local mission partner, We Care, has distributed them and seen firsthand the difference this collection has made in the lives of so many families. We also had 18 donors at the blood drive last week and that means at least 36 people will benefit from this event, what an exciting thought! We're so grateful for the servant hearted nature of the many people who've stepped up to embrace our mission statement of living out the gospel together.

Everyone occasionally experiences issues with technology. On Sunday mornings, between 9am-12pm, you are now able to call the church office for tech help. The focus of this help is to assist you with watching the worship services. Our volunteers will do their best to help you connect and be able to participate in our services.

Session and staff have worked hard to balance out the space and time the many thriving ministries at New Hope are given on campus each week. They've taken into consideration CDC guidelines, the measures being taken by the Lee County School District and created a plan so all age groups can enjoy time on campus each week. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact one of the elders, Pastor Eddie or Pastor Mike.

Session and staff have researched the best and safest ways we can begin to meet together and all the details can be found by clicking the SITUATION UPDATE button below. With respect to guidelines from the CDC, we are monitoring our local COVID-19 numbers and if changes to our re-opening plan are necessary, we’ll adjust. Updates will be posted on Facebook and our website should any of our plans change. On Sundays, we currently have our traditional service at 9am and our contemporary service at 11am. Childcare for infants through pre-K is available during both services and ministry for kids from K through 5th grade is available only during the 11am service.

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship as well as checking out the videos from our staff and pastors on the Experience New Hope channel. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Eddie (239.450.3331) or Pastor Mike (813.368.1680). Don’t forget to check out our safety measures and plans for gathering again on campus, along with the service time details by clicking the SITUATION UPDATE button below!

With Love,
Your New Hope Team
