Welcoming more activities

Hey Church Family!

The calendar is telling us it's fall and the slight temperature drop this week has been a nice change! Another wonderful change has been the return of Wednesday night ministry with the adult Bible study in the sanctuary and Common Ground student ministry for our 6th-12th graders! Each starts at 6:30pm and we'd love to see you with us soon!

On Sunday, September 27, we'll have a congregational meeting immediately following the 9am worship service to establish the nominating committee for our upcoming deacon and elders selection. For those unable to join us in person for the meeting, here is a link to join the meeting via Zoom. The Zoom meeting id# is 881 4535 5886 and the password is 985881. A note regarding Zoom: please visit this link and create a Zoom account prior to the meeting if you do not already have one. This is KEY. Once you have an account, you may CLICK THIS LINK or enter the meeting id# and password. We will be monitoring this online and admit you to the meeting via Zoom after the 9am worship service concludes and we set up for the meeting.

We introduced RightNow Media to you last December and it's been such a joy to hear from many of you how much you've enjoyed this FREE resource! With shows and discipleship teachings for children thru adults, there are choices that apply to folks in any season of life. Several people have started their own home Bible studies by gathering together to watch a brief teaching followed by discussion time. This is an incredible tool to create fellowship & community with friends and neighbors. If you haven't already activated your account, simply text RightNow NewHopeFM to 414-11 and you'll be able to create a free account! If you've benefitted from Right Now, we'd love to hear about your experience! Send Michelle an email (michelle@newhopefortmyers.org) and let her know how RNM has been a part of your life!

Because we're unable to pass the Friendship Pads in person and many people are still joining us online, we've begun to use a virtual Friendship Pad each week for attendance purposes. Whether you're here on campus or watching from home, we'd love for you to sign in with us each week. You'll also have an opportunity to share any prayer concerns on this form and it will help us in returning another element of our personal contact work which is a key component here at New Hope. To sign in each week, visit our website and select the CONTACT/LOG IN tab on the upper right hand of your screen, select Friendship Pad from the drop down menu and complete the form. You may also click here to directly access the virtual Friendship Pad or select the green button below! Thanks for adapting with us and trying new things as we seek to minister effectively.

The last Sunday we were able to meet together for worship in March, 2020, was also a day we welcomed several new members to our congregation. This special group of people are familiar to many of you, but we wanted to be sure to recognize them as part of our New Hope family. To get to know them, you can click here and read a little more about them. We also received an additional 22 folks over this last week and we'll be introducing them to you soon as well! How marvelous that even during these times God's Kingdom and New Hope continue to flourish and grow.

Everyone occasionally experiences issues with technology. On Sunday mornings, between 9am-12pm, you are now able to call the church office for tech help. The focus of this help is to assist you with watching the worship services. Our volunteers will do their best to help you connect and be able to participate in our services.

Session and staff have worked hard to balance out the space and time the many thriving ministries at New Hope are given on campus each week. They've taken into consideration CDC guidelines, the measures being taken by the Lee County School District and created a plan so all age groups can enjoy time on campus each week. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact one of the elders, Pastor Eddie or Pastor Mike.

Session and staff have also researched the best and safest ways we can begin to meet together and all the details can be found by clicking the SITUATION UPDATE button below. With respect to guidelines from the CDC, we are monitoring our local COVID-19 numbers and if changes to our re-opening plan are necessary, we’ll adjust. Updates will be posted on Facebook and our website should any of our plans change. On Sundays, we currently have our traditional service at 9am and our contemporary service at 11am. Childcare for infants through pre-K is available during both services and ministry for kids from K through 5th grade is available only during the 11am service.

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship as well as checking out the videos from our staff and pastors on the Experience New Hope channel. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Eddie (239.450.3331) or Pastor Mike (813.368.1680). Don’t forget to check out our safety measures and plans for gathering again on campus, along with the service time details by clicking the SITUATION UPDATE button below!

With Love,
Your New Hope Team
