Happy Friday, Church Family!

October is here and 2021 is somehow winding down already! It's been a wonderful year full of ministry opportunities and we're not done yet! There are so many exciting things ahead, including our celebration on Sunday, November 7 with one combined worship service at 10am, followed by lunch and a party on the lawn. Make plans to join us as we commemorate this event and glorify God for paying off the mortgage TEN YEARS EARLY!

Pastor Mike is finishing up the series Life Together this Sunday. If you're not already involved in a group outside of Sunday morning worship, we urge you to join one. There are opportunities for all ages and stages of life like our Connect GroupsSunday School ClassesWednesday NightsWomen's MinistryMen's Ministry, and more! Our website always has the most up to date information on our groups, classes, and options so make sure to look around!

Our next opportunity to corporately love our neighbors well happens on Thursday, October 7 (by noon), when you can drop off pre-packaged peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to the church kitchen. We then make sure all the sandwiches make it to We Care, one of our mission partners in North Fort Myers, where they are then distributed to those in need. Something as simple as a sandwich can have a big impact on someone's life – what a great way to live out the gospel together!

We appreciate the ongoing commitment many of our New Hope folks have made to our blood drive. Six times each year, the bloodmobile is present on campus and many people make time to donate blood to help our community. In September, 15 people gave which results in helping 30 people in SWFL, what an amazing gift! The bloodmobile will be back once more in 2021 so make plans to be a donor on November 21!

The Going Beyond Simulcast Event for women was a big success on September 25. Close to 50 ladies gathered for a full day of worship and dynamic Biblical teaching. Special thanks to the wonderful leadership team that worked to make this event a meaningful day and poured into these hearts.

Our regular weekly prayer time is still happening each week on Tuesdays at noon. All are welcome to join this group, led by Lisa Bloomston, as they seek the Lord and His will for our church.

The results of the congregational meeting on September 26 are as follows: there were two nominations from the floor, resulting in Dick Grosse & Linda Hart being added to the Deacon, Elder & Trustee nominating committee. The full committee was approved and the final roster of that committee is David Carpenter(Chairperson), Al Cason, Candy Engelman, Bill Enslen, Dick Grosse, Linda Hart & Mike Scales.

Our 4th and 5th graders are busy learning about celebrating God and the things He is doing in their lives right now! They all did a great job working in teams and showing initiative with a hands on activity after studying Colossians 3:23a: "Work at everything you do with all your heart. Work as if you were working for the Lord."

We appreciate the dedicated leaders and teachers who pour into these young hearts each week!

Due to technical difficulties, the video for the Bible Reading Plan Update will be available next week. You are welcome to join our reading plan at any time and can find more information here.

1. Purchase grape juice or wine
2. Purchase Bread or Baked Crackers
- Unleavened bread is the best expression of the "bread" element. Unleavened bread simply is bread baked without a rising agent (most large grocery stores stock unleavened bread), but you can select any bread of your choice.
3. Be Ready at Home with Your Elements
- Pastor Mike will direct you along with those who are gathered at the church through properly receiving communion. All you need to do is follow along online individually, as a family or with your group.

Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-26; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship on campus at 9:30am and 11am or online, as well as checking out the videos from our staff and pastors on the Experience New Hope channel. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or have a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Mike at mike@newhopefortmyers.org or 813.368.1680.

With Love,
Your New Hope Team
