Welcoming more activities

Hey Church Family!

We've got a full slate of events happening in October so be sure to read all of the Enews to mark your calendars and not miss a thing!

As was announced in our Sunday services last week, Pastor Eddie and Roxanne will be leaving New Hope and moving to Greenville, SC. We are heartbroken to see them go, but are grateful for the 7.5 years of ministry we experienced with them and the tremendous growth our church has experienced. Please continue to pray for the Spencers as they navigate this transition.

We are planning an opportunity to celebrate all the Lord has done over the last 7.5 years here at New Hope on Sunday, October 25 from 4:30-6:30pm and provide a chance for you to wish Pastor Eddie and Roxanne well. We'll continue to bring you more information about this event, but please go ahead and save the date for now.

It's time to love our neighbors and fight food scarcity right here in SWFL again! Please drop off those prepackaged PB&J sandwiches to the church on Thursday, October 15 by noon and we'll deliver to We Care. Thanks for partnering with us as we live out the gospel together!

On Saturday, October 17, we'll have an on campus prayer time from 10:00-11:30am. Meeting in Room 212 (the youth room) of the education building, we'll assemble in small groups of 4-5 people with the goal of praying through 9 different topics for about 10 minutes each. You're welcome to come for as much time as you'd like during this 90 minute window.

Because we're unable to pass the Friendship Pads in person and many people are still joining us online, we've begun to use a virtual Friendship Pad each week for attendance purposes. Whether you're here on campus or watching from home, we'd love for you to sign in with us each week. You'll also have an opportunity to share any prayer concerns on this form and it will help us in returning another element of our personal contact work which is a key component here at New Hope. To sign in each week, visit our website and select the CONTACT/LOG IN tab on the upper right hand of your screen, select Friendship Pad from the drop down menu and complete the form. You may also click here to directly access the virtual Friendship Pad or select the green button below! Thanks for adapting with us and trying new things as we seek to minister effectively.

The last Sunday we were able to meet together for worship in March, 2020, was also a day we welcomed several new members to our congregation. This special group of people are familiar to many of you, but we wanted to be sure to recognize them as part of our New Hope family. To get to know them, you can click here and read a little more about them. We also received an additional 22 folks on September 22 and we'll be introducing them to you soon as well! How marvelous that even during these times God's Kingdom and New Hope continue to flourish and grow.

1. Purchase grape juice or wine
2. Purchase Bread or Baked Crackers - Unleavened bread is the best expression of the "bread" element. Unleavened bread simply is bread baked without a rising agent (most large grocery stores stock unleavened bread), but you can select any bread of your choice.
3. Be Ready at Home with Your Elements - Eddie or Mike will direct you along with those who are gathered at the church through properly receiving communion. All you need to do is follow along online individually, as a family or with your group.

Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-26; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29

Session and staff have worked hard to balance out the space and time the many thriving ministries at New Hope are given on campus each week. They've taken into consideration CDC guidelines, the measures being taken by the Lee County School District and created a plan so all age groups can enjoy time on campus each week. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact one of the elders, Pastor Eddie or Pastor Mike.

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship as well as checking out the videos from our staff and pastors on the Experience New Hope channel. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Eddie (239.450.3331) or Pastor Mike (813.368.1680). Don’t forget to check out our safety measures and plans for gathering again on campus, along with the service time details by clicking the SITUATION UPDATE button below!

With Love,
Your New Hope Team
