Together in unity and

Hey Church Family!

We are full steam ahead for another full month of ministry and exciting events on campus and we're looking forward to re-opening more activities before year end. Be sure to jot down all the important dates so you won't miss a thing.

On Saturday, October 17, we'll have an on campus prayer time from 10am-11:30am. Meeting in Room 212(the youth room) of the education building, we'll assemble in small groups of 4-5 people with the goal of praying through 9 different topics for about 10 minutes each. What a wonderful opportunity to gather and seek the Lord as one unified body in Christ! You're welcome to come for as much time as you'd like during this 90 minute window. If you have any questions, please contact Jim Mayer at jmayer@newhopefortmyers.org.

The Missions Council is welcoming missionaries Jon and Kristi Nykamp on Saturday, October 24, from 6pm-8pm to discuss all God is doing in their ministry and throughout Mekelle, Ethiopia. They'll gather in Room 212 with a light supper and an RSVP is appreciated. Please call the church office at 239-274-1230 or email Jim Mayer at jmayer@newhopefortmyers.org to let us know you're planning to attend.

We need your help! Please take some time to prayerfully consider who you might nominate to fill the role of elder or deacon for our church. You can read more about these offices, what they entail and view the people presently serving right here. If you would like to nominate an individual for elder or deacon, please CLICK HERE to fill out the form. Because of C-19, we will not be distributing paper nomination forms this year so be sure to submit your candidates using the online form. The slate of proposed elders and deacons will be presented in a congregational meeting on December 6, which is a change from the November date mentioned in the video above. We apologize for any confusion.

As was announced in our Sunday services on September 27, Pastor Eddie and Roxanne will be leaving New Hope and moving to Greenville, SC. We are heartbroken to see them go but are grateful for the 7.5 years of ministry we experienced with them and the tremendous growth our church experienced. Please continue to pray for the Spencers as they navigate this transition.

We are planning an opportunity to celebrate all the Lord has done over the last 7.5 years here at New Hope on Sunday, October 25 from 4:30-6:30p and provide a chance for you to wish Pastor Eddie & Roxanne well. We encourage you to CLICK HERE for further details about the celebration.

If you plan on purchasing food from one of the food trucks, be sure to pick up a coupon for $2 off your purchase when you arrive at the event. These coupons will only be available at the event while supplies last.

On Sunday, September 20 we were able to welcome 22 more new members to our congregation. This special group of people are familiar to many of you but we wanted to be sure to recognize them as part of our New Hope family. We encourage you to CLICK HERE and read a little more about them and even welcome them with a text or note as all of their information is available in ELI. How marvelous that even during these times God's Kingdom and New Hope continue to flourish and grow.

Because we're unable to pass the Friendship Pads in person and many people are still joining us online, we've begun to use a virtual Friendship Pad each week for attendance purposes. Whether you're here on campus or watching from home, we'd love for you to sign in with us each week. You'll also have an opportunity to share any prayer concerns on this form and it will help us in returning another element of our personal contact work which is a key component here at New Hope. To sign in each week, visit our website and select the CONTACT/LOG IN tab on the upper right hand of your screen, select Friendship Pad from the drop down menu and complete the form. You may also click here to directly access the virtual Friendship Pad or select the green button below! Thanks for adapting with us and trying new things as we seek to minister effectively.

We know many people are looking forward to returning to "normal" in many areas of their lives, including coming to Sunday School classes. As we continue to navigate safety protocols and best practices, we are beginning to phase in some of our Sunday morning experiences. We're excited to share that we are now offering two different class styles on Sunday mornings in the Education Building: from 9:45-10:45am, you can join the Restoration class in Room 209. This class is discussion based and is currently in the book of Colossians. Immediately following the 9am worship service, you can attend the Bereans, a lecture style class, in Room 212.

Our desire is to add more classes and extended programs for kids back to our Sunday morning schedule in the future. The next Session meeting is on October 27 and we'll update you following that if there are more opportunities available.  We are also continuing to offer overflow seating for both Sunday services in Room 210.

Session and staff have worked hard to balance out the space and time the many thriving ministries at New Hope are given on campus each week. They've taken into consideration CDC guidelines, the measures being taken by the Lee County School District and created a plan so all age groups can enjoy time on campus each week. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact one of the elders, Pastor Eddie or Pastor Mike.

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship as well as checking out the videos from our staff and pastors on the Experience New Hope channel. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Eddie (239.450.3331) or Pastor Mike (813.368.1680). Don’t forget to check out our safety measures and plans for gathering again on campus, along with the service time details by clicking the SITUATION UPDATE button below!

With Love,
Your New Hope Team
