Check out how you can help us

CHANGE THE WORLD!

Hey Church Family!

It's been a week full of lovely weather and the staff is excited for all the marvelous things happening on campus theses days! From mission and service opportunities to festive family celebrations, we hope to see you as we close out 2020! You can CLICK HERE to see all the holiday fun we're planning this December.

Prayer is an essential part of all we do as a church. We invite you to join us tomorrow, Saturday, November 21 from 10-11:30am in Room 212 of the education building. We'll pray in small groups and you are welcome to stop by for any amount of time. If you have any questions, please contact Jim Mayer at jmayer@newhopefortmyers.org.

The Christmas party big enough for the whole family is back in a whole new way this year! Jingle Jam will be held entirely outside on the church lawn on Wednesday, December 2, from 6-8pm with inflatables, crafts, 9 square, cookies & cocoa for all! We'll also have food trucks so you can purchase dinner and skip a night in the kitchen! Santa and the family photo booths will be here so wear your favorite Christmas shirts to capture lasting memories with loved ones and come expecting a night of F-U-N!

We have an amazing opportunity to partner with Pick Up The Ball, a local organization that partners with young adults to mentor them and teach life skills. Recently, Pick Up The Ball acquired a new building they hope to convert to a residential boarding house and we are planning to help spruce up the outside of the building. People of all ages are needed to help with cleaning and brush clearing around the outside of the building. Students in 6th grade and up are welcome to help with parental supervision. Contact Jim Mayer for more information.

Following the congregational meeting on November 15 the following people comprise the pastoral search committee: Gayle Bundschu, Dan Ceilly, Bill Enslen, Duane Higgins, Kathy Orr, Betsy Sinke & Ken Walker(Convener).

Our next congregational meeting is on Sunday, December 6 following the 9:30 service. The purpose of this meeting will be to elect the slate of elders and deacons for the class of 2023. More information about the candidates is coming soon.

Our next PB&J collection is on Thursday, December 3 and donations should be dropped off by noon.

If you missed the opportunity to bring in your box for Operation Christmas Child last week you may bring it to church on Sunday, November 22. After that, the truck is leaving Fort Myers and our collection for this year ends.

Lifeline is holding their annual Life Walk virtually this year. Lifeline is a local mission partner of ours and works as an outreach to those dealing with unexpected pregnancies. Because the event is virtual this year, you may CLICK HERE to donate to the walk and help build stronger families right here in SWFL.

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship as well as checking out the videos from our staff and pastors on the Experience New Hope channel. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or have a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Mike at mike@newhopefortmyers.org or 813.368.1680. Don’t forget to check out our safety measures and plans for gathering again on campus, along with the service time details by clicking the SITUATION UPDATE button above!

With Love,
Your New Hope Team
