Joy to the World

THE LORD HAS COME!

Hey Church Family!

December is whizzing by and we're excited to continue celebrating the holidays! Christmas is THE time for people to give church a chance for the first time so don't be shy about inviting folks to join you for one of our FOUR FABULOUS services on Christmas Eve!

Our traditional services at 1pm and 7pm will feature familiar carols, special music and organ with the 7pm service also including a choir. The family friendly service at 3pm includes our children leading the Christmas story and special music with elements designed for all ages to enjoy. Our contemporary service at 5pm features our dynamic praise and worship band. All four services include a candlelight experience, a similar message and childcare will be available for infants – Pre K.

All four services will also be online and provide an extra special opportunity for you to host guests for the services right in your home!

Make plans to join us on Sunday, December 20, at 3pm for a Christmas Concert presented by professional recording artist Eirinn Abu.  Eirinn is a Grammy Award winning saxophonist, world renowned Christian artist, and the founder of Music for Life Ministries. The concert is free and open to the public, but a freewill offering will be collected.

Please be aware that people seeking to take advantage of others are everywhere, especially during the holidays. New Hope will never email you asking for money or gift cards. If you ever have a concern regarding finances and donations, please do not hesitate to contact the church office.

It's gift giving time and we have a spectacular one for you this year! New Hope is giving you the gift of beautiful music in the form of a brand new CD, Hymns of Triumph, performed by Ben Ball. You may pick up a free copy when you're here on campus, they'll be on the tables in the back of the lobby beginning Sunday, December 13. If you're not able to make it on Sundays, you are welcome to stop by during the week and pick one up if you'd like. We'll keep the CDs available while supplies last. Merry Christmas!

We're so grateful for each person who baked and bought from our Annual Holiday Bake Sale this year! $1500 was raised to support missionaries working overseas with Syrian refugees and it was a great encouragement to those receiving this gift. Special thanks to Signe Pagel & Stephanie Goldberg for innovating and creating an experience that was safe and provided an opportunity for us to work together in support of global missions!

Cue the fanfare (or at least imagine it in your head)... New Hope, through the MOPS group and our church family, packed 264 boxes for Operation Christmas Child this year! That means that we're going to impact 264 lives for Christ all around the globe. Special thanks to Art & Bonnie Hunkins who are the area coordinators for OCC and a part of our New Hope family!

If you would like a contribution to New Hope Presbyterian Church included in your 2020 giving statement, please either deliver that gift to New Hope or have it postmarked by December 31, 2020.  IRS giving statements can be downloaded from ELI beginning January 5, 2021.  Statements not downloaded will be sent by US Mail before January 31.  For additional questions about giving, please contact Brad Starner at brad@newhopefortmyers.org or call the church office.

We urge you to stay spiritually connected with your church family and join us for weekly Sunday worship as well as checking out the videos from our staff and pastors on the Experience New Hope channel. We’re continuing to pray and if you have concerns about our plans to meet in person or have a prayer need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Mike at mike@newhopefortmyers.org or 813.368.1680. Don’t forget to check out our safety measures and plans for gathering again on campus, along with the service time details by clicking the SITUATION UPDATE button above!

With Love,
Your New Hope Team
