Dear Church Family,
Session met on Tuesday, July 28 and voted to re-open more of our on campus ministries over
the coming weeks. Beginning Sunday, September 13, our early childhood ministry will be open
and ready to care for children ages 2 thru Pre-K at our 9am traditional and 11am contemporary
services each week. Our program for elementary kids in grades K-5 will also open on Sunday,
September 13, but during the 11am service only. In accordance with CDC guidelines, we’re
planning to utilize additional classrooms in the Education Building for the children to help them
with physical distancing. Therefore, we will not be resuming adult Sunday school classes or
Sunday morning Common Ground at this time.
As far as Wednesday evening classes this fall, Common Ground, our student ministry for those
in 6th-12th grade will be resuming their meetings on Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30pm in the
Education Building. Adults will have a single class option, to be offered in the sanctuary, each
Wednesday beginning September 16 at 6:30pm. We are not planning to offer Extreme Team for
kids in grades K-5th or early childhood ministries on Wednesday nights.
Staff, Session and leaders have creatively and diligently worked to come up with plans so that
all age groups have in person opportunities each week at our facilities. More information about
specific guidelines will be forthcoming as we approach September and the further re-openings.
We’re so grateful for our New Hope family and how generous and adaptable they’ve been as we
do our best to keep safety in mind with our on campus activities. We appreciate each person
and if you have further questions, please contact Pastor Eddie or Pastor Mike. If you’re
interested in continuing a previous on campus ministry, please contact Ed Harger to discuss
those plans and he can guide you through the protocols and expectations.
