REGAN & EMILY POMPEO:
Upper East Tennessee Young Life
Over the last weekend of October, 236 students from the Johnson City area attended Fall Camp at Windy Gap. The group enjoyed fun activities, shared meals, and heard messages about God’s love and Jesus’ sacrifice. The leader brought 11 students from Elizabethton High School – seven of them first-time campers – and had meaningful conversations about faith and the gospel. Despite being the only staff member due to his supervisor’s absence, the leader felt God’s guidance throughout the weekend. The event strengthened relationships, built ministry momentum for the future, and was considered a great success as students had fun and encountered the message of Jesus.
As leader training approaches in January and February, the East Tennessee State University team is praying for God to raise up caring adults who are passionate about sharing the Gospel with high school students, with a goal of recruiting 35 new leaders. Please pray that students would continue to form bonds and push each other towards Jesus. Pray also that the Pompeos would reach college students who don’t know Jesus and be able to have spiritual conversations with them.
