Student Ministry (6th-12th Grade)

New Hope's Student Ministry exists to equip and empower middle and high school students to live out the Gospel together. We strive to create exciting environments that give teenagers opportunities to build relationships with peers, caring adults, and the God who loves them fiercely.

THE MIX XL

July 15 • 6-9pm

Meet us in Room 212 or the church backyard for free time! Activities include basketball, pickleball, volleyball, football, ultimate frisbee, board games, card games, etc. We will also be hosting a guys Bible Study and a girls Bible Study at 7pm. Eat dinner before arrival. Snacks and drinks provided.

CHILL AT THE CHURCH

July 17 • 3-5pm

Meet your summer interns at the church for two hours of free time! Snacks and drinks provided. This is Lorelai’s last night with us! Come celebrate her time as a summer intern!

STUDENTS ON ICE

July 19 • 6:30-8pm

Meet at the Hertz Arena at 6:15pm at the hockey statue for a chance to show off your ice skating skills! Entry fee plus the skate rental is $10 per person. Please bring cash or card with you. Kids will pay Hertz directly on site. There will be an optional dinner meetup beforehand at the 3 Pepper Burrito at Miromar Outlets at 5:15pm. All students need to pay for their dinner and arrange for their own transportation to dinner or to hockey.

“SERVE YOUR CITY” RECAP

Our Student Ministry spent the week serving our community through a variety of hands-on projects across Fort Myers. Throughout the week, students demonstrated Christ's love by meeting practical needs, building relationships, and sharing kindness wherever they went.

Monday: Cleaned up the Dunbar neighborhood and served PB&J sandwiches and popsicles while spending time playing with children at Renaissance Preserve.

Tuesday: Provided lawn maintenance for One More Child.

Wednesday: Enjoyed a devotional at Ride Nature, participated in a prayer walk through downtown Fort Myers, and created bookmarks for Verity Pregnancy Center and the Lee County Juvenile Detention Center.

Thursday: Served at ECHO by helping with work on the farm.

Friday: Blessed our community with a free car wash and any optional donations went to support Sarai and her missions work.

Saturday: Volunteered at the Midwest Food Bank.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for our students and leaders throughout the week. We are grateful for the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community!

SUNDAY MORNINGS

We meet every Sunday morning from 9:30-10:45am in room 212. We play games, eat treats and dive into God's Word! Students are encouraged to join us afterwards at our 11am Contemporary Service!

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Wednesday nights at Common Ground are centered around building community within small groups, helping students develop a spiritual appetite for God and his Word, and having fun!
