Join us this Sunday, March 22, in Room 212 right after the 11am service to help us fill eggs with candy to prepare for our Hunt-a-Trunk community outreach event! A free lunch will be served and no registration is required for this event. All ages are encouraged to come and help us fill eggs as this task requires many hands!
Get ready for a fun, faith-filled season on the field! Our church softball league is a 10-week, co-ed season where we’ll play exclusively against other local churches. Anyone 18 and older can join – no age maximum – and we truly want this team to be open and welcoming to everyone who’s interested, no matter your skill level. You can register below or, for more information, join this Sunday, March 22, after the second service in Room 206.
If you attend our 11am Contemporary Service and would like to familiarize yourself with the songs we will be singing this Sunday, here are the links to check them out:
SCAM WARNING:
Please be aware and don't fall for scams!
We have once again been receiving an influx of reports of scam emails, texts, or phone calls that appear to come from New Hope pastors, staff, and leaders. Please never respond to or interact with these contact attempts! Our pastors, staff, and leaders will never contact you asking for gift cards, payments, credit card info, bank account info, personal info, etc. in this way. If you receive an email you’re unsure about, the first thing to do is look at the actual email address that the email came from - not the name that appears there, as scammers can put any name they want to there (including a pastor’s, friend’s, or relative’s name). In most email programs, you can click on or hover over the name in the “From” field and it will show the actual “from” email address. If the email address does not end with @newhopefortmyers.org, then it is not from one of our pastors or staff members. You can use this same method for any other possible scam emails as well - check the “from” email address and see if it’s from an official one! These scam attempts are not due to staff accounts being hacked. They are scammers who use their own email addresses and phones and try to make it look as though they are coming from trusted people in order to deceive and steal. These scammers are going to greater and greater lengths to fool people, even going as far as including a photo of the person they are pretending to be. If you are still unsure after looking at the “from” email address, be safe and don’t reply to the email and don’t click links in the email – simply delete it. Better safe than sorry! You can always contact the pastor, staff member, or leader directly by calling the church office at 239-274-1230, emailing them directly through a new email (usually their first name and then @newhopefortmyers.org), stopping by the church office, or finding them at church on Sunday. Unfortunately, there will always be dishonest people trying to take advantage of others, but if you stay aware and proactive, you can avoid being their next victim!
Join us at New Hope for a special evening of learning, fellowship, and meaningful reflection at Messiah in the Passover this Wednesday, March 25, from 6-8pm in the Sanctuary.
Messiah in the Passover offers powerful insight into the Jewish traditions of Passover and reveals how they beautifully point to Jesus as the promised Messiah. This unique experience helps the Christian community better understand the Jewish roots of our faith while highlighting the shared heritage between Jewish and Christian communities.
The evening will include a traditional-style Jewish Sabbath meal featuring baked chicken, sides, and dessert as we walk through the elements of the Passover celebration together.
Please note: Childcare is available for infants through PreK. Children Kindergarten and older are encouraged to sit with their families and fully participate in the meal and learning experience.
Registration is required through the link below and the cost is $10 per person, $20 per couple, and $25 per family (self, spouse, kids).
We look forward to sharing this meaningful night together!

DUNBAR HIGH SCHOOL
Dunbar High School is a secondary school serving 1,700 families. The school includes an International Center which serves students in 9th-11th grades with emphasis on English language acquisition and increasing lexile reading scores. Many of these underclassmen have moved directly from a Central American country, with Guatemala a majority nationality. Dunbar is also home to a Center for Math & Science, and offers career opportunities for many STEM related vocations. More than half of the school as a whole serves families living below the poverty line.
Basketball booster season is over, but New Hope is still participating in a variety of ways to serve our neighbors at Dunbar High School. In a few weeks, New Hope will serve as a test site for students in the IB diploma program. Another way that we can serve Dunbar families is by donating to the Tiger Market, a place where underprivileged students can receive food items along with hygiene products like body wash and deodorant.
Join in praying for the families of students at Dunbar, that they might know God as their provider in all seasons. Pray too, for the current seniors as they approach graduation - that all their requirements would be met and that they would move confidently forward into their future plans.
