PARTY IN THE USA RECAP

Our Party in the USA celebration last Wednesday was a great night of food, fellowship, and laughs! We enjoyed a delicious meal together, cheered on our brave pie-eating contestants, and ended the evening with an intense game of "Are You Smarter Than a Canadian?" American trivia. Despite Pastor Sheldon putting up a strong fight, Team USA managed to squeak out a victory and preserve our national pride...at least until next year! Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a fun night. We love any excuse to spend time together as a church family!

We will be a host of The Global Leadership Summit on August 6–7. The deadline for the Early Bird price on the Global Leadership Summit is Friday, July 17! If you’re still not sure whether you should attend, let us encourage you! You will gain both practical tools to navigate everyday leadership challenges and inspiration for how to use your influence for greater impact.

Arthur C. Brooks, one of this year’s speakers and one of the world’s leading experts on the science of happiness, has also offered a special bonus: if you buy your ticket by Friday, you will receive Called to Lead: 10 Essays on Leadership and Happiness, plus 20% off his Happiness Scale assessment. As part of New Hope, you will also receive a special Summit rate of $169 if you get your ticket by Friday, July 17. After that, it goes up to $189.

YOUNG LIFE OF LEE COUNTY

Young Life Lee County has wrapped up another amazing season of summer camp! This season, New Hope was able to help send three students to camp for a life-changing experience. Students had an opportunity to experience many incredible activities such as a ropes course, volleyball tournaments, pool olympics, waterfront activities, ziplining, and more! Above everything else, students had an opportunity to hear the message of hope found in Jesus!

Let’s continue to support the ministry of heart impact and life change to students in our city by supporting Young Life in prayer:

  • For new staff member Brittany Streitmatter who will lead YL Estero!
  • For the students who were able to attend camp this summer and for more students to know the intimate love and pursuit of our Heavenly Father!
  • For staff, leaders, and volunteers as planning for a new school year begins: that logistics for clubs run smoothly, that students would introduce their friends to YL.
