Join us this Sunday, September 6,
as we celebrate The Lord's Supper
during both of our worship services.

The first Sunday of each month, we encourage you to give above and beyond your normal tithes and offerings towards our Care and Compassion Fund which is used to help people in our church and community who are having temporary financial struggles. Simply indicate "Care and Compassion" on the memo line of your check or on your envelope this Sunday or click here to give online.

YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY

THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6 AT 7PM

Our Young Adults Ministry (ages 18-29 and out of HS) meets on the first and third Sunday night of each month. You can join us this Sunday, September 6, at 7pm in Room 212 for food, games, worship, and a message from God’s Word!

September is 4FM – For Fort Myers!

 

Throughout the month, we will be focusing on local missions and how we can each Grow, Connect, Serve, and Go right here in our community. Be sure to wear your 4FM shirt each Sunday! Don’t have one yet? Shirts are available in the Lobby at the church for just $10.

The church office will be closed on Monday, September 7, for Labor Day and will reopen on Tuesday at 9am.

Wednesday Family Nights are back starting next Wednesday, September 9, from 6:30–8pm with something for the whole family – from infants through adults! There will be a class for women studying Beth Moore’s Chasing Vines, a co-ed adults class on suffering, Common Ground for middle and high schoolers, classes for elementary kids, and classes and care for infants – Pre K. Join us as we learn and grow together as a church family!

Join us for our Congregational Meeting next Sunday at 4pm, where members will vote to approve the church by-laws and elect officers for the upcoming term. As a member, your participation is important as we make these key decisions together for the life and leadership of our church. Following the meeting, we invite you to stay and enjoy an Ice Cream Social with sweet treats and time to connect with one another. We hope to see you there!

WELCOME

DWAIN UPTON!

Please join us in welcoming Dwain Upton to the New Hope team! Dwain will serve ten hours each week as our Director of Evangelism and Outreach, helping us build meaningful connections within our church and throughout the community. He will also continue sharing the love of Christ with students at FSW through his work with Young Life. We’re excited to see how God will use Dwain in both of these new ministry roles!

SEPTEMBER DIAPER DRIVE

FOR ONE MORE CHILD

 

In Florida, 81% of households led by single moms struggle to afford basic needs. This month, New Hope is collecting diapers and wipes to assist moms in similar situations and families who are fostering, to provide for the children in their care. Bring in diapers or pull-ups (sizes 1-6, 2T-5T) and sensitive wipes by September 27. Thank you for loving the vulnerable communities that children are raised in, from foster care to single-parent households.

 

This month, join in praying for:

 

• The facilities, campuses, and maintenance staff of One More Child. Pray for their protection and endurance as they serve, keeping our facilities ready for every child we welcome.

• The survivors of sex trafficking that the anti-trafficking care team at One More Child work with, that they would have hearts growing in the knowledge of one True Protector and Father!

• The foster families with One More Child starting a new school year, that their needs would be provided for and they would find times to enjoy rest in the midst of the busyness.

THE B FAMILY

(Sensitive Location)

After two months back in their home, the B family is grateful for the Lord’s direction as they complete their sabbatical. They are excited to share that they sense God leading them to remain in their ministry location while shifting their primary ministry focus toward the local community. These communities have endured years of conflict, trauma, economic hardship, and cycles of bitterness and revenge. The B family’s desire is to see the love of Jesus transform individuals and families—bringing healing, radical forgiveness and reconciliation, and a generosity that overflows to others. While this is not a complete change in ministry, it is a significant new direction. Please pray that as they enter more deeply into this culture, they will have humble, teachable hearts and a willingness to listen, learn, and build genuine relationships.

 

Praise God for opening new doors! Since discerning this new direction, the Lord has provided new friendships with neighbors, opportunities to pray weekly with a believing school headmaster, a relationship with a key village leader, and partnerships with like-minded Lebanese believers. They will also continue their decade-long ministry, primarily by coaching, supporting, visiting, and equipping former teammates.

 

Please pray for:

 

  • Clear vision and wisdom for this new season
  • Humble, learner hearts as they build relationships within a new culture
  • Open doors for the Gospel among the new community they are serving
  • Strength, grace, and perseverance as they serve
  • Continued fruitfulness among their former ministry partners
