New Hope eNews - November 1, 2024

Dear New Hope Family,

I want to personally thank you for your expression of appreciation throughout this month. Your cards and comments have been a wonderful encouragement to me and my family. We are grateful for your love and generosity and are happy to be a part of a such a caring congregation.

I want to invite you to join us for a Town Hall Meeting on Sunday, November 17, at 4pm in the Sanctuary. I will give you an update on the work and ministry at New Hope. It will be a time to celebrate the Lord’s work and enjoy the fellowship of God’s family and we will have an ice cream social following our meeting.

As our nation heads toward Election Day on November 5, we have created a prayer guide which you can click here to download. Let us pour out our hearts to the Lord for His will to be done. This week’s sermon will teach us about what it means when we ask God to provide for our daily bread. I love the explanation from the Heidelberg Catechism: Give us today our daily bread means, do take care of all our physical needs so that we come to know that You are the only source of everything good, and that neither our work and worry nor Your gifts can do us any good without Your blessing. And so, help us to give up our trust in creatures and to put trust in You alone. It will be a good reminder to keep our trust in God.

Join us each Sunday as we learn to pray.

For His Glory,

Heavenly Father,

We come before You seeking wisdom, unity, and peace for our nation during this election season. Guide our leaders and citizens to make decisions rooted in love, justice, and truth. May Your grace and understanding prevail, bringing harmony and hope to our communities. Protect and bless our country as we work together for a peaceful future.

In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT:

TIFFANY BACH

Tiffany's early life was immersed in a Christian upbringing, attending both a Christian school and church regularly. She always understood God's love but faced significant challenges growing up in a divorced home. At 19, she became a young mother and experienced a period of brokenness that led to the end of her marriage.

Her focus shifted entirely to navigating the difficulties of being a single mom while pursuing a career as a registered nurse, eventually working in the neonatal intensive care unit. Although she was grateful for her calling to nursing, she recognized her deep need for repentance, redemption, and the restoration only Jesus could provide.

"Music has always been a part of my journey,” Tiffany shares. She fondly remembers playing the violin and leading worship from a young age. Reconnecting with these musical roots, Tiffany found her way back to God, serving and leading worship once more.

In 2020, Tiffany and her now husband, Justin, felt God leading them to New Hope. She was soon invited to serve as the Contemporary Worship Director. Today, Tiffany continues her full-time work as a pediatric nurse while fulfilling her role at New Hope. She finds strength and encouragement in her life verse, Ephesians 3:20-21: "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

Thursday, November 7, is our next opportunity to bless homeless people in Lee County with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. You can drop off pre-made, individually wrapped PB&Js to the New Hope kitchen on Thursday by noon!

Ladies, we encourage you to join us for an enriching Bible study titled The Wonder of Advent. This four-week study will meet Wednesdays from 10am-noon beginning on November 13. Please click here to register and then make sure to purchase your study book beforehand (available on Amazon or Lifeway). We are looking forward to a blessed time together!
