THANKSGIVING WITH A DIFFERENCE
Join New Hope this Thanksgiving as we encourage our friends at We Care Outreach which supports individuals and families experiencing homelessness and recovery needs by providing both emergency services and long-term support. Thanksgiving With A Difference offers three ways to support We Care this month:
SPONSOR! – Consider sponsoring a Thanksgiving meal for homeless and hungry populations in our city. We Care will be cooking up turkeys and fixings to serve on Nov. 27. A gift of $37 will feed six people.
GIVE! – Grab a bag from the lobby at New Hope and fill it with canned food items from the list on the mission table between Nov. 23 - Dec. 7 that will help to stock We Care’s pantry which is low due to food bank shortages this season.
SERVE! – If you don’t have plans Thanksgiving Day, please join New Hope in serving a turkey meal in the evening with We Care on Nov. 27 (time TBD).
Thank you for helping to make a difference by being the hands and feet of Jesus to those who are struggling to have enough food each week – especially during this holiday season! If you have any questions, please reach out to Rachel Frey – rachel@newhopefortmyers.com.

REGAN & EMILY POMPEO:
Upper East Tennessee Young Life
Over the last weekend of October, 236 students from the Johnson City area attended Fall Camp at Windy Gap. The group enjoyed fun activities, shared meals, and heard messages about God’s love and Jesus’ sacrifice. The leader brought 11 students from Elizabethton High School – seven of them first-time campers – and had meaningful conversations about faith and the gospel. Despite being the only staff member due to his supervisor’s absence, the leader felt God’s guidance throughout the weekend. The event strengthened relationships, built ministry momentum for the future, and was considered a great success as students had fun and encountered the message of Jesus.
As leader training approaches in January and February, the East Tennessee State University team is praying for God to raise up caring adults who are passionate about sharing the Gospel with high school students, with a goal of recruiting 35 new leaders. Please pray that students would continue to form bonds and push each other towards Jesus. Pray also that the Pompeos would reach college students who don’t know Jesus and be able to have spiritual conversations with them.
