An Update from Lance & Elizabeth Edwards:
Bulawayo, Zimbabwe
Elizabeth is the only certified wound care nurse in Bulawayo (a city of one million). She runs an advanced wound management clinic under Sizolwethu Health Trust and often collaborates closely with local hospitals to care for patients who cannot afford treatment. Together with New Life International, Lance and Elizabeth produce and donate 200 liters each week of hypochlorous acid, an effective wound antiseptic, dramatically improving wound management across Bulawayo. They gratefully see God's recent provision of an additional full-time nurse and for miraculously providing the Clinic House.
Lance serves young men with hearing challenges, teaching practical skills like welding, fabrication, painting, and building. Whenever possible, he uses community development projects as hands-on training opportunities. In addition, Lance partners with Foundations for Farming, leading trainings with his small Ndebele-speaking team, and uses his gift for innovation to develop appropriate technologies that bring practical help to the poor—particularly in clean cooking stoves and safe water solutions. Most recently, Lance led the design and build, with deaf workers, of large horse stables for a local ministry that uses horse therapy for physically and emotionally challenged children.
“Thank you for the faithful prayers and support that help to sustain us in life and ministry in Zimbabwe. We are so grateful for His grace in our lives and ministry!”
