After two months back in their home, the B family is grateful for the Lord’s direction as they complete their sabbatical. They are excited to share that they sense God leading them to remain in their ministry location while shifting their primary ministry focus toward the local community. These communities have endured years of conflict, trauma, economic hardship, and cycles of bitterness and revenge. The B family’s desire is to see the love of Jesus transform individuals and families—bringing healing, radical forgiveness and reconciliation, and a generosity that overflows to others. While this is not a complete change in ministry, it is a significant new direction. Please pray that as they enter more deeply into this culture, they will have humble, teachable hearts and a willingness to listen, learn, and build genuine relationships.
Praise God for opening new doors! Since discerning this new direction, the Lord has provided new friendships with neighbors, opportunities to pray weekly with a believing school headmaster, a relationship with a key village leader, and partnerships with like-minded Lebanese believers. They will also continue their decade-long ministry, primarily by coaching, supporting, visiting, and equipping former teammates.
