This Sunday Pastor Sheldon will speak on "When Money & Idolatry Collide" as we look at 1 Timothy 6:6-10 while continuing our "Captive" series. Join us at our 9:30am traditional service or our 11am contemporary service!
"But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs."
If you attend our 11am Contemporary Service and would like to familiarize yourself with the songs we will be singing this Sunday, here are the links to check them out:

CAMPING TRIP RECAP
Our annual Dad and Kids Camping weekend kicked off on January 30 at Caloosahatchee Regional Park with a dads only night, complete with a BBQ feast. The kids joined the dads the following day, increasing the group size to 50! The campers enjoyed lots of yummy food, an extra large bonfire, too many s'mores to count, and an epic after-dark game of Manhunt. So many amazing memories were made and this group is counting down the days until next year's trip.
MARRIAGE NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS
40 couples enjoyed a wonderful evening at New Hope's Marriage Night! Lots of laughter, delicious food, and great conversation marked a memorable evening for all!
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT:
JACKIE ELLIOTT
Church life and matters of faith were not part of Jackie’s upbringing. Her exposure to Christianity came from her grandmothers, the annual Christmas Eve services with her dad, and attending church with school friends. Although she was curious about God and the Bible, even praying to accept Jesus during a middle school church group, she lacked a consistent environment to nurture her faith.
After marrying and relocating to Fort Myers, Jackie and her husband, Jerry, were invited by friends to Covenant Presbyterian Church. As a young couple expecting their first child, they became members, and Covenant became their first church home. Jackie was eager to learn about God, and they soon committed fully, growing in faith and raising their two daughters in the Lord’s ways. When Covenant split, they moved with New Hope EPC. The church community, mentorship, and spiritual guidance over nearly 30 years deepened her love and service for God, fueling her passion for the transformative power of the local church.
With a background in education, Jackie naturally found joy in teaching and encouraging others. She began by teaching Sunday school and VBS to young children, learning Bible stories with her daughters. This passion grew into her own Sunday school and Bible study experiences, where God’s Word fulfilled His promise in 2 Timothy 3:16 to "teach, correct, and train." Jackie reflected, “I’ve been blessed to serve as an Elder, co-chair our church building committee, sing in Worship, and lead parents, but nurturing youth is closest to my heart. I often wonder what might have changed if my middle school faith spark was nurtured. It's gratifying to encourage our Common Ground Students in their faith through youth group, Retreats, and Mission Trips for over 15 years. God is SO FAITHFUL when we seek Him wholeheartedly! He grows our hearts to love Him and gives us the privilege to uplift others. Keep your heart open, friends. God uses our passions to serve His Church. Where is He calling you to serve others at New Hope or in our community, so they can discover Jesus, too?”
