GUEST SPEAKER: Gabriel de Guia
Gabriel de Guia will be speaking at both of our services this Sunday, April 27. He is the Executive Director of EPC World Outreach, the global missions arm of the denomination. EPC World Outreach aims to serve the Church by empowering Spirit-filled witnesses to make disciples and plant reproducing churches among those with least access to the gospel. Gabriel leads the Global Movement initiative, one of the four Gospel Priorities of the EPC, alongside Church Planting, Church Health, and Effective Biblical Leadership. He is also a ruling elder at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando in the FL/Caribbean Presbytery.
Before joining EPC World Outreach in 2021, Gabriel dedicated 26 years to ministry with Cru, spending the last 12 years working with the Jesus Film Project. In that role, he focused on bringing the gospel and the Word of God to unreached people who had never heard the story of Jesus in their heart language.
Gabriel and his wife have been married for 17 years and are proud parents of three sons.
If you attend our 11am Contemporary Service and would like to familiarize yourself with the songs we will be singing this Sunday, here are the links to check them out:

STAFF SPOTLIGHT:
Welcome Ashleigh MacGillivray!
We're so excited to welcome our new Director of Student Ministry, Ashleigh MacGillivray! Ashleigh grew up as a pastor’s kid and has enjoyed living in various states in the southeast. At four years old, she acknowledged Jesus as her Savior, but it was in high school when the Gospel of John deepened her understanding of Christ's sacrifice.
Ashleigh’s passions for teaching and building relationships have led her from youth internships and leading SeaWorld Orlando camps to training leaders in sports ministry and volunteering in youth ministry. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2018 with a degree in Elementary Education. Her teaching career began in South Carolina before moving to Florida to teach at a magnet school for gifted students, where she won the Emerging Teacher of the Year Award.
In November of 2020, Ashleigh was diagnosed with a rare heart and lung disease called Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and subsequently had to resign from teaching in the classroom. She moved to Kansas City in the fall of 2021 to be closer to family and has since felt called to ministry. While serving as the Children’s Ministry Director at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Ashleigh also served as the high school girls small group leader, led the Young Adults ministry, and spearheaded and facilitated a Sunday morning parent class.
“My desire is to see the next generation so inspired by and passionate about the power of the gospel that whole families and communities are transformed.”
SAVE THE DATE!
We will be hosting the 105th meeting of the Florida Presbytery this year and would love for you to join us for dinner and worship! The event will be on Friday, May 16 at 6pm in the New Hope Sanctuary. Please click here to register so we have an accurate count for dinner. You can also volunteer to serve through the registration form.
For the World (4TW) $50 Challenge
Let’s make an impact in our community together. If all of our church family were each to give $50 over the next 4-6 weeks, we would raise over $30,000! Would you consider giving up an evening out for dinner, or night at the movies, or a game of golf on the weekend? That’s all it would take to raise money for Path2Freedom. We also have the opportunity to double our giving. We have a generous donor who will match up to $25,000, allowing us to double our giving to $50,000 for Path2Freedom!
Path2Freedom is one of our faith-based mission partners that focuses on extending hope and healing to child survivors of human trafficking. Tragically, 1 in 4 victims are children. Every dollar contributes to building a brighter future, offering individualized education, counseling, and essential life skill programs at facilities like the Magnolia Safe House.
Let’s join hands and seize this moment to empower Path2Freedom's mission, ensuring a hopeful and healed future for the young lives they touch. Let’s be known for our generosity and be the hands and feet of Christ to our community. You can give online here or by check with 4TW in the memo line.
