Join us for our next sermon series on the Fruit of the Spirit!
The call of God’s people is to be more and more like Jesus and the role of the Holy Spirit is to make this Christlikeness happen. Our lives are to reflect His work in us. Over the next several weeks, we are going to look at how the Holy Spirit makes us fruitful. What does that look like? How does the Holy Spirit make us holy? We are called to live by the Spirit and keep in step with the Spirit. That means we will bear fruit. We will have evidence within us that we belong to God. The Apostle Paul said it this way: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." When we follow Jesus, the gospel begins its work in us. We begin to bear the fruit of God in our lives. Christ is to be formed in us and our lives begin to reflect His life from the inside out. I hope you will join us as we dig deeper into God’s word together.
"Heavenly Father, I pray that this day I may live in Your presence and please You more and more. Lord Jesus, I pray that this day I may take up my cross and follow You. Holy Spirit, I pray that this day You will fill me with Yourself and cause Your fruit to ripen in my life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."
~ John Stott

$50 Challenge 4TW (For the World)
Over 40 million people are trapped in human trafficking around the world and are often sexually exploited. 1 in 4 victims are children between the ages of 12-14 when they are started. The United States is the largest consumer of sex trafficked victims. There are many working to end sex trafficking here in the US. Path2Freedom is one of our ministry partners making an enormous impact here in our community.
You have an opportunity to transform lives through New Hope by helping us raise $25,000 in the next few weeks. If everyone who is a part of our New Hope family were to give just $50 we will be able to reach our goal and have our generosity doubled. What an amazing challenge we have been given! $25,000 can become $50,000 to help kids be liberated from this horrible $300 Billion business in the US. Every dollar will help build a brighter future. Let’s be the hands and feet of Christ. Let’s be salt and light in our world. Let’s be God’s church to those in need.
You can click here to give online or you can give by check with 4TW in the memo line.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT:
Cheryl Dolenc
Cheryl Dolenc joined New Hope after her husband's passing in 2018, seeking to fill a void in her heart. Raised in Eureka, IL, she came to know Jesus early, regularly attending church and youth groups. Baptized in her beloved century-old church, Cheryl's faith journey took a detour during college and marriage, sporadic church attendance becoming the norm. Despite enduring a failed first marriage and a happy second one, she yearned to reconnect with church, but was discouraged by poor advice. Moving to Florida, she struggled to find a church community.
Upon entering New Hope, Cheryl felt right at home, welcomed by familiar faces and friendly members. Engaging in women's Bible studies, she realized what she'd missed during her years away. Inspired by the depth of faith in her peers, Cheryl joined the Circle of Friendship, volunteered in the homeless feeding program and women's ministry planning committee, and led a Hospitality Team. Though she regrets her absence from church, Cheryl acknowledges Jesus' unwavering faithfulness and forgiveness. She cannot change the past, but she listens to God's guidance daily, cherishing her relationship with Him and expressing gratitude for His love. Cheryl wholeheartedly believes New Hope is where she belongs.
Bittany & Tyler
Brittany and Tyler are dedicated to serving God among an unreached people group in rural West Africa. They engage in economic development alongside Bible translation by collaborating with local farmers, aiming to reduce poverty through their Demonstration Farm. This blend of Word and Deed holds the potential to transform lives.
The Demonstration Farm focuses on two key areas: Grafted Cashews as a cash crop and Tropical Fruit Trees for enhancing local nutrition. They are enthusiastic about utilizing their network of farmers to distribute Scripture as it becomes available, both in written and oral forms.
