Elementary Lock-In Recap!

What a wonderful weekend we had with 18 children and 8 of the best chaperones at our first New Hope Kids Summer Lock-In. We enjoyed meals and games together. We worshipped our Creator through music, Sticky Scriptures, and were reminded that “When we wonder or feel powerless, we can trust Jesus!” And no weekend with a group of children would be complete without a messy foam party and the most epic game of Organized Mass Chaos.

This Sunday we will celebrate

the baptism of Lucas Allan Schultz

during our 11am service.

Mighty Mussels Game Recap

Over 50 people from our church enjoyed a winning evening at the Mighty Mussels baseball game last week! It was a great time of fellowship and relaxation followed by a spectacular fireworks show!

Adam & Kristy Griffith

The Griffith Family: Pioneers of Hope and Healing in Thailand

In the vibrant city of Chiang Mai, Thailand, nestled among the misty mountains and bustling urban life, the Griffith family is on a divine mission. Adam and Kristy Griffith are raising a family of three young children - Aiden (11), Avery (9) and Addy (4) - all while weaving hope through the community, serving youth who are seeking a better future.

Adam and Kristy were members of New Hope before they embarked on their journey in 2012. As missionaries, they have built a foundation that ministers to Thai youth that are growing up in institutional care facilities, they started a business as missions preschool, and now Kristy is a licensed clinical counselor.

Changing Lives in Chiang Mai

The mission in Chiang Mai focuses on youth, aged 12-20, coming from rural tribes to pursue education while being separated from their families. These youth often face daunting challenges. PYF strives to bridge this gap, providing resources, guidance, and discipleship to introduce them to the love of Christ. The impact is profound: reducing risks of drug use, poverty, and fostering hope within a new generation.

Expanding Horizons

Last year marked a period of growth and expansion for PYF. With an increased team of 17 staff members and partnerships with 71 youth homes, the Griffith family celebrated achievements in leadership development, social work, and humanitarian efforts, even amidst natural disasters like the historic October floods.

A key milestone was the integration of mental health services, addressing a crucial need in a "mental health desert." In 2025, two Thai staff members will complete their master’s degrees in counseling, a testament to PYF's dedication to comprehensive care.

Looking Ahead

The Griffith family and the PYF are poised for continued impact, nurturing leadership through initiatives like the Student Leadership Academy and Telos. With support, prayer, and financial backing from partners like New Hope, the Griffiths are optimistic about the forthcoming expansion of services and their ongoing mission to inspire and uplift the youth of Chiang Mai.

The journey of the Griffith family and their unwavering dedication to this mission continues to illuminate paths for the next generation, guiding them with hope, resilience, and faith in a brighter future.
