"HELPING HANDS" SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE
Throughout the month of August, our church is gathering essential items to support two local schools, ensuring that students and their families have what they need for a successful start to the school year. If you haven’t yet, please visit the mission table in the Lobby at the church where you can pick up a list of needed items and a bag to fill with your donations. We will be accepting contributions until August 31. We are grateful for the generosity many of you have shown already – thank you for being a blessing!
"MOVE UP SUNDAY" IS NEXT WEEK!
Next Sunday, August 17, students entering kindergarten and 6th grade will move up to their new classes. New kindergarteners will check in at the New Hope Kids desk near Room 212 and new 6th graders will check in at Room 216 to join Common Ground. Also, some children may move classrooms within their current environment to match their new age/grade. Questions? Just contact the appropriate staff member below!

EARLY CHILDHOOD MINISTRY UPDATE
At the end of July, we finished our summer series with a lesson about telling everyone everywhere about Jesus. Our preschool students used cups and craft sticks to build mountains for (paper) Jesus and his disciples to climb and share the Good News!
Every Sunday we have such a blast in the Early Childhood rooms telling the children how much God loves them and building relationships with them. We would love to have you join us! If you're interested in serving in our Preschool room for ages 3-5 during either the 9:30am or 11am service, please reach out to Kellie Witenko at kellie@newhopefortmyers.org to get plugged in. You can serve weekly, monthly, or whatever suits your schedule. Lessons and materials are already prepared, so you show up to share and love on our littlest ones.
Baptism of Weston and Peyton Robinson
Join us in celebrating as Shawn and Kelsey Robinson's children, Weston and Peyton, are baptized during the 11am service this Sunday, August 10. Let us come together in prayer and support for their family on this special day.
STUDENT MINISTRY UPDATES
Our youth ministry wrapped up summer with an exciting Youth Week! Friends invited friends, and all who participated showed so much enthusiasm!
A huge thank you to all who participated and prayed! We've seen God move in new relationships and vibrant excitement within our group. Follow us on Instagram for more updates!
NAME TAGS ARE READY!
All name tags can now be found in the Lobby at the church. If you didn’t get one, please add your name to the list. We will be putting in an order at the end of the month. Your first one is complimentary! Replacements will be available for $10.
VERITY
Sometimes, summer comes with slower schedules, vacations, family time, and different routines. Summer for Verity has been very busy with a full schedule each day and such a wide variety of people to serve. Women come to learn if they are indeed pregnant. Couples come for an ultrasound to see their precious unborn baby for the very first time. Parents come to visit and pick out some things from our boutique for their newborn baby. Staff provide links to educational videos that teach them how to be confident in their parenting or even learn before their baby is born what to expect of the childbirth experience. Dads are learning what it means to be a good dad and cultivate a healthy relationship with the mom of their unborn child. Women living with the regret of a past abortion decision are coming to walk through a study of scripture that reminds them that God forgives every sin, even a choice of abortion.
It is because of your faithful prayer, financial, and practical support that we have what we need to be effective in each of these endeavors. Volunteers faithfully come to serve with us, giving the gift of time. We hope that you feel our love and gratitude for all that you do for Verity. It matters what you do!
If you have not yet found a way to be part of protecting unborn lives and seeing to it that the gospel message is shared in our own community, please reach out to learn ways that would work for you to stand with us. Call the Verity office at 239-433-1929 and ask for Paula. Tell her you are from New Hope and she will help you learn more about volunteer opportunities. You may also ask New Hope’s Director of Community Outreach, Rachel Frey, for more information.
